Taking a photo directly
A browser can upload a picture; the app can open the camera to take one.
The voice recorder
Recording a voice note uses the phone’s recorder.
App lock
Face ID or a fingerprint needs the device keychain. A browser has none, and a lock that can be lifted by reloading the page would be worse than no lock, because it would be claimed.
Notifications
Reminders and activity notices are delivered to the app on your phone.
