Pricing

Start free. Pay once when you are sure.

No monthly bill for the app itself. Storygarden is a one-time purchase, and the free tier is a real one — a child, a timeline, and as much writing as you like.

Free

No card needed

See what it is, with one child, before you decide anything.

  • One child, with their own timeline
  • Written memories, milestones, tags and favourites
  • View anything a family shares with you, and comment where they allow it
  • Export everything you write, whenever you want

Photos, video and voice notes need Standard — storage costs money for as long as a file exists.

Most families start here

Standard

$9.99 once · does not renew

Everything most families need, bought once.

  • Up to three children, with a timeline each
  • Photos, short videos and voice notes
  • One other parent, who can see and add to the same children
  • Share links to exactly the memories you choose
  • Letters and memories saved to open on a future date

A one-time purchase. It does not renew.

Family Package

$19.99 once · does not renew

For a bigger family, and for the people around it.

  • Everything in Standard
  • Any number of children
  • A shared family calendar
  • Invite family members, each with their own access
  • Comments and reactions from the people you invite

A one-time purchase. It does not renew.

Where the real price comes from.

Whatever a plan costs where you live, in your currency, is shown by the App Store, Google Play, or the card checkout at the moment you buy. That figure is the one that counts. Anything printed on this page is a guide.

Add-on

Text Capture, if you want it.

The one part of Storygarden that is a subscription, and the reason is honest: every message it receives costs money to receive. It is not included in Standard or the Family Package, and it works with any of them — including Free.

Text Capture

$5.99 per month

$64.69 a year — 10% off paying monthly.

Text a photo or a sentence to Storygarden and it becomes a memory.

  • A number you can text a memory to, from any phone
  • A review inbox for anything the app is unsure about
  • Works with no app open, and on a phone with none installed

A subscription. Renews automatically until cancelled, and you can cancel any time.

What each one holds.

The child limit is enforced by the database, not by a screen — so it is the same number wherever you are signed in.

Have a look first

The sample timeline needs no account at all. Creating one is free, and so is keeping a child's timeline in writing for as long as you like.

Being invited costs nothing

If somebody shares a timeline with you, you can view it, and comment and react where they have allowed it, without buying anything. Ever. The person who shared it is the one who paid.

If billing goes wrong

A payment problem never destroys your memories.

This is a principle in the product specification rather than a customer service policy, and it is enforced in the code.

  • Nothing is deleted. Not memories, children, media, calendar events, shares, or comments.
  • Everything stays readable. A refund drops you back to the free tier; it does not lock you out of what you already saved.
  • Cards get retried, not cut off. A failed Text Capture payment enters a grace period rather than an immediate stop.
  • You are never asked to pay twice. If a purchase has gone through, the app unlocks straight away, even if the confirmation is slow to arrive.

Managing a subscription

Text Capture bought on an iPhone is managed in your Apple account, and on Android in your Google account — Storygarden cannot cancel those on your behalf, and any page that claimed otherwise would be lying. One bought by card on the web is managed here.

Standard and the Family Package are bought once, so there is nothing to cancel. Ask us if any of it is unclear.

Start with the free tier.

One child, as much writing as you like, and no card. Decide about the rest later.
